Bible Fighting Quotes

Meaning:”Blessed be the LORD, my rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle;”?

It is used by my favorite MMA fighter Rich Franklin, and he puts this quote over his fight gear. I know this quote is from the bible and it is a very long book. Please tell me the meaning and the story behind this quote. Thanks in advance

Just look at above answer for where in the bible.
As for the story… its a great one. Please read it yourself. I’m sure you would enjoy it better than if I told it.

What it means is: God is the highest power… He is my rock (A rock is symbolic of being unbeatable, here David is saying no matter what, an unbeatable God will be with him) Who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle (The main word here is trains) (train is commonly thought of as a steadying i.e “he trained the arrow on the target” here David is saying God steadys him and helps him fight better, because of his trust in God)

Hope this helps, and please read the story
God Bless
