God and creation of man?
Would you consider to be more proper:
“God creates man to his image.”
Since everything is Gods creation and God’s love is timeless and limitless, but the maturing and evolving processes are part active.

No, not same thing because I find understanding the concept of maturing to be important to understanding the concept of God.
