Mr. Gordon Brown, I am 39 years old and have 2 children, I cannot get a job?
Not even a low paid one. I am training to be an electrician and cannot even get a trainees job. WIll you mr Brown put your hand on the Bible and swear that you will stop migration of cheap labour from europe and other parts of the world?WIll you stop the waste of british money and resources and come out of this stupid thing called the EEC and stop the evaporation of the british way of life? Will you mr Brown stop aslyumn seekers and terrorists in the guise of asyulmn seekers comming to the uk and get free housing, free income support, free hospitals and free everything … stop these people from comming to the uk and killing innocent citizens like 7/11? Will you?
My partner is in the same situation. He can’t even train to better himself because there is no funding other than career development loans and we can’t get one of those because we have a poor credit rating and the banks who loan them won’t loan to people with bad credit histories. If the government gave the loans rather than the banks this would not be a problem.
He’s supporting me and our baby on a minimum wage driving job and we end up with less than £200 per week to live on. We also have a mortgage to pay as we cant get council housing (although immigrants do – I have seen this with my own eyes).
He even asked his boss at work about financing his HGV training and they said no. There is no point in training people when there is a cheap pool of already trained labour from the EU just waiting for work. They can keep wages down too, because of this. Why pay £8 an hour when there are people willing to do it or £5.35 and are easily replaceable?
However I’m sure I will be told that my partner must be “stupid” or “lazy” or “unmotivated” and how much better the Poles are than us and how they work harder blah blah blah. I’m sick of this middle class claptrap. The people who spout it may want to come and walk a day in our shoes and see how it feels.
