How can people claim the bible is a history book?
we’re talking about a book of myths that has unicorns, satyrs, talking serpents, and talking snakes in it… it’s obviously mythology…
oh I meant talking donkeys… not snakes.. typo…
ok to clarify, Unicorns were mentioned in the bible but do to Translation problems. Pretty smart that you caught that. It was in the Latin Vulgate Translation when the greek Scriptures were translated into greek, In the book of Daniel it talks about a goat with One Horn, but the early translators didnt know how do translate it so they called it Unicorn. Not Unicorn directly but the Latin form of it.
Anyways. There are alot of things that comfirm the Bibles Authenticity as Historic. Have you Ever heard of a Babylonian King named Sargon? Well neither did archeologiest and for a very long time they thought that the Bible made up that king, so they called it a Fake, a Mythology as you claimed. Do you know that They found a ruins with Sargons all over, he is actually the most Known becuase there exsists alot of information about him.
The Book of Daniel talk abouts King Nebucchanezzer, the King of Babylon, which archeologist know that he existed. There is evidence all over the place. Just look it up.
Even in the Walls of Thebes in Egypt, the Egyptian Pharaoh has the Hyieroglyphics about the Victory he had over Judah, which the Bible mentions. The Pharoh’s name is Shishak.
Check out the Mobite stone in wikipedia.com it even talks about the conquest it had over the Isrealites.
Well read the following and this is from another Empire that could have never had contact with the Bible but look at the Similarites.
Coxcox have been discovered among the Aztecs, Miztecs, Zapotecs, Tlascaltecs, and Mechoacaneses. It tells how Tezpi embarked in a spacious vessel with his wife, his children, and several animals, and grain, whose preservation was essential to the subsistence of the human race. When the great god Tezcatlipoca decreed that the waters should retire, Tezpi sent a vulture from the bark. The bird, feeding on the carcasses with which the earth was laden, did not return. Tezpi sent out other birds, of which the humming-bird only came back with a leafy branch in its beak. Then Tezpi, seeing that the country began to vegetate, left his bark on the mountain of Colhuacan.
Doesnt it sound like Noahs Ark? Now how can the Aztecs know about this? The story are too similar for one to be a lie. There are tremendous amount of evidence to prove that the bible is right.
