I’m in the 8th grade and I’m doing a commentary for my sunday school class…?
on Ecc. 10:19 (money verse)
how can i approach this without sounding too adult (lol like, so they can understand)?
my teachers said “Well, the Bible says ‘money is the root of all evil’ so yeah like that musta been a typo or something”
and it wasn’t.
This is my first commentary thing and there are tons of kids in that group how do i do this?!
Here’s how I would do this:
Start off by making sure everyone understands that the verse says it is the LOVE of money that is the root of all evil.
Then start talking about all the things you love that do not cost any money.
Then finish up by pointing out that, since money can’t buy any of that, it’s not worth getting all worked up about. That’s pretty much the point of Ecc. 10:19, right?
