Bible verses for a couples to study?

Basically, I’m quite deep in my faith with regards to my own personal understanding of God. however, my girlfriend doesn’t read much scripture, and when she does, I don’t think she analyses it much.
Though this isn’t an issue within the relationship, as of late, we’ve struggled to find things to do together, so I was hoping you guys could point me in the direction of some good resources that I could use to do like a bible study with my girlfriend? I’d quite like it to be appropriate to the boyfriend/girlfriend situation as otherwise, I could just pull out any verse and try and analyse it. Thanks a lot.

Well, Song of Solomon would be the obvious choice, but 1 Corinthians 13 is also another. Sometimes my favorite verse comes to mind, Be still, and know that I am God. (Psalm 46:10a), but otherwise you could pretty much choose any verse from the bible and let God guide the way with your study and see where it leads you. Pray before you pick a verse that you will both learn from it and you might even end up in another book of the bible specifically speaking to the both of you. Just don’t force it down her throat, find ways, through good conversation or relating situations that these things can come up to go into it a bit more. She may hear and study the bible, but it’s usually not until you really need to reference it because it applies to your life and the situations of the moment that you really start to analyse it. The important thing is that the foundation is there to reference back to. Good luck and take it easy and just pray a lot. And make sure you also just have fun, so I’ll leave you with this verse… Proverbs 17:22 A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
And I just thought of a great verse for couples, Ecclesiastes 3
A Time for Everything…
I was once involved with a church and in a Sunday school class a guy felt compelled to stand up and tell the class that he felt guilty because he wanted to hold his girlfriends hand. He was 21 years old. Now, I would think it was odd if he didn’t want to hold her hand at that age and he thought that this was lust in his heart. That was the last time I ever went back. I understand wanting to be like Jesus, but there would be no babies born out of christian relationships if guilt led your path over something God would want you to rejoice in, being in love. It’s that you don’t get too carried away and lose control or lose sight of God where you can run into problems.
