Chirstans Read this story and tell me what you think unless your to lazy?
That guy knows his stuff. Except one thing. He said this:
“ABDULLAH: God calls the Scripture revealed to Jesus “Injeel” in the Qur’an for which the closest name in the Bible would be the word Gospel. The Bible was written may years after the time of Jesus in a language that was alien to Jesus; it was Latin Vulgate, a language that he never spoke. Isn’t this strange? Interestingly, most of what was written in the New Testament was authored by Paul, who, according to James, the brother of Jesus in the Bible, had a polluted mind because he changed and contradicted most of the teachings of Jesus.”
The Bible was ACTUALLY written between about 1500 BC and 100 AD. It was written in three languages: Latin, Greek, and Aramaic. Aramaic was the language spoken around the time that Jesus lived, but Greek was the principle language in the Roman Empire, which Israel was part of.
Many of the books in the New Testament WERE written by Paul, BUT:
Matthew: Has been long-held to have been written by Jesus’ apostle Matthew.
Mark: Written by Jesus’ apostle John Mark, between 50-60 AD. That was less than twenty years after Christ ascended.
Luke: Written by Jesus’ apostle Luke. He’s also credited with writing Acts.
John: Written by “John the Beloved.”
I went over Acts, so I’ll skip to the ones Paul wrote:
Romans
1 & 2 Corinthians
Galatians
Ephesians
Philippians
Colossians
1 & 2 Thessalonians
1 & 2 Timothy
Titus
Philemon
Hebrews is credited to Paul, but no one’s really sure.
Continuing on:
James: Believed to have been written by Jesus’ brother James.
Peter wrote 1 & 2 Peter.
1, 2, & 3 John is believed to have been written by John, one of Jesus’ apostles, and son of Zebedee.
Jude was written by Jude, who said he was James’s brother, which would also make him Jesus’ brother.
And last but not least, Revelation, written by the same John who wrote 1,2, & 3 John.
I believe that some of Abdullah’s claims were incorrect. I can only advise you, but the rest is up to you:
Try reading Evidence That Demands a Verdict, by Josh McDowell. Also, The Case for Christ, by Lee Strobel. Perhaps they might help you.
Good luck.
